Biography
Over 17 years of experience in senior medical lead positions in pharmaceutical research and development for European and USA companies for various therapeutic areas for adults and children (phase II up to registration, surveillance) with focus on infectious diseases(anti-infectives) and tropical/neglected, cardiovascular and - metabolic diseases (diabetes) and orphan indications (cystic fibrosis, neurodegenerative diseases). Active in academia supporting awareness about topics related to public health, access to health, role of early diagnostic and prevention and traditional medicine in modern care in emerging and developed countries. Member of administrative board of World alliance against antibiotic resistance and French immunology society (SFI) administrative board and several international academic societies. Focus on innovation of R&D translating science in area of immunology and genetic variability into clinical solutions to tackle problem of resistance: AMR, Tuberculosis (MDR,XDR), Malaria, Viral (HIV, Hepatitis C). Supporting research around microbiota and better understanding of host immune system/Pathogen/microbiota interactions including various factors like nutrition for adapted intervention and medical needs. Member of international advisory group (CHD India) and think tank groups in order to foster global cooperation in areas of public health. Years of expertise to work globally within Europe, USA but recently more focused on BRICS - Asia (India in Particular) as a Medical advisor bringing new innovative concepts alive and getting them endorsed
