Pediatrics and Neonatology

Segundo Mesa Castillo. As Specialist in Neurology, he worked for 10 years in the Institute of Neurology of Havana, Cuba. He has worked in Electron Microscopic Studies on Schizophrenia for 32 years. He was awarded with the International Price of the Stanley Foundation Award Program and for the Professional Committee to work as a fellowship position in the Laboratory of the Central Nervous System Studies, National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke under Dr. Joseph Gibbs for a period of 6 months, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, Washington D.C. USA, June 5, 1990. At present he is member of the Scientific Board of the Psychiatric Hospital of Havana and give lectures to residents in psychiatry.

Neurology and Psychiatry

Professor Mehmet Emre Atabek has completed his Ph.D. at the age of 37 years from Erciyes University and postdoctoral studies from Selcuk University School of Meram Medicine. He is the director of Pediatric Endocrinology, a premier pediatric endocrinolgy and diabetology service organization. He has published more than 140 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute. He has been interested in searching metabolic problems of obese children in most of his articles. His articles have been cited more than 1500 citations by another article in Web of Science so far. He continues to work as head of the Department of Pedaitric Endocrinolgy, Necmettin Erbakan University.

Pediatric Endocrinology

Dr. Petrikovsky completed his postgraduate training at SUNY Downstate/Maimonides Medical Center (Brooklyn, NY) and his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Connecticut in 1988. That same year, he was a visiting researcher at Kings College School of Medicine (London, UK), specializing in Fetal Medicine and Surgery. From 1992-1999, he served as a Chief of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Petrikovsky serves as a member of the editorial board of journals of neonatal intensive care, ultrasound diagnosis in obstetrics and pediatrics. He also serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Journal of Clinical Ultrasound and Obstetrics and Gynecology. His major research interests are fetal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, fetoscopy, fetal cardiology, Ob/Gyn sonography and invasive Ob/Gyn procedures. Dr. Petrikovsky has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and ten book chapters. A recent major contribution to the medical literature was a textbook entitled Fetal Disorders, published by John Wiley & Sons. Dr. Petrikovsky has a busy private practice. Among his research awards are the Recognition Award of the Brooklyn Gynecologic Society, Obstetrical Society of Boston, Howard Levine MD Science Award, Bristol-Myers, Squibble/Mead Johnson Traveling Fellowship, and the Award of the Italian Society of Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Petrikovsky is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU School of Medicine.

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Ling-Qun Hu graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 1984. He was an Internist in China and a Researcher in Canada. In 2001, after his residency training in USA, he became an Anesthesiologist at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is the Founder and Executive Director of No Pain Labor & Delivery - Global Health Initiative and the Editor-in-Chief of its journal. He has published three books as an author or associate-author and five books as a chief translator or associate-chief translator. He has published 23 papers in reputable journals and serves as an Editorial Board Member of three.

Maternal Medical Care

Krishna Dronamraju is a geneticist and author of many books in genetics, medical genetics and history of science. He worked with Victor McKusick in medical genetics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and recently edited, with Clair Francomano, (eds) Victor McKusick and the History of Medical Genetics, published by Springer, New York, 2012. He was a member of the U.S. Presidential delegation led by President Bill Clinton to India to promote cooperation in science and technology in 2000. Dr. Dronamraju served on the Recombinant DNA Advisory Committee of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, and the National Advisory Committee of the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. He is a Visiting Professor of the University of Paris, and an Honorary Research Fellow of University of London. His books include: Haldane, Mayr and Beanbag Genetics , Malaria: Genetic and Evolutionary Aspects, Infectious Disease and Host-Pathogen Evolution, The History and Development of Human Genetics, and (ed) Selected Genetic Papers of JBS Haldane.

Medical Genetics

Masato Kantake has completed his PhD at the age of 31 years from Chiba University. He is the director of Neonatal Medical Center of Juntendo University Shizuoka Hospital. He is Senior Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Juntendo University, School of Medicine. He has published two papers related to epigenetics in neonatal period.

Neonatology

Ph.D .Pietro Sciacca was born on June 12th, 1961. Since 1985 he works in the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Catania (Italy) as Pediatrician and Neonatologist with main interest in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Pulmonology. He’s a professor of Clinic of heart Malformations in Neonatologic Cardiology postgraduate Course, of BAN of the University of Catania and of the Pediatric Cardiology Master of University of Messina. Since 1989 is the chief of Pediatrc and neonatological Cardiovascular Clinic of Department of Pediatrics.
